Puppets

Western Reserve Junior Service League has a Puppet Show that performs, at no cost, to Elementary Schools, Day Care Centers and Libraries. The volunteers who perform are members of WRJSL. They have a very professional stage that is made up of parts that can be easily transported by the puppet ladies in their cars. The puppets are each made by hand. The costumes are designed and made specifically for each show. The costumes are very colorful and bright to catch the attention of the chilren. Special lighting also illuminates the stage and the lively music to which the puppets dance is included.

The show currently being performed is “Many Moons” written by James Thurber which is a popular story of a little princess who wants the moon from her father, the King. The show is approximately 25 minutes long.

Here are some pictures from a recent show.
