PARTY IN THE PARK is Hosted by the Painesville Community Improvement Corporation (PCIC), a 501 (c)(3) since 1977. PITP is a free, 3-day music festival that raises funds for community initiatives and organizations hosted right in the heart of Painesville. Shifts are only 3 hours. Volunteers 21+ receive two free beer tickets to be used after their shift. Volunteers 18-20 are entered into a raffle for a daily prize ($50 value), one entry per shift. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying great live music and a fun atmosphere! We’re looking for people to help in a variety of roles. This year, PITP is happening from July 19th to the 21st. I’ve linked a document with a description of the roles that we’re looking to fill. The volunteer application can be completed using the link below. After completing the volunteer application, you’ll receive a follow-up email with the form to select your shift(s). Please share with friends too.
Party in the Park is an approved group service project through Community Research Committee for 2024-2025 year. It is a 3 day event that will be 7/19-7/21/24. They are three hour shifts and the days have 4 shifts in them. We have been talking about getting back into bigger group projects. This is our chance to put our volunteer hours in as it is a part of our organization’s key components and why we exist.
For fast action, rock and roll and lots of people sign up for the later shifts, for singer-song writers and less folks sign up for the early shifts. When PCIC earns money from the event they pay for items such as the Safety Around Water swim lessons for all of the 2nd graders in Painesville, Fairport Harbor and they are working on adding the Riverside district, small grants, beautification, and supporting improvements such as underwriting as the key supporter of the new Dog Park in Painesville Recreation Park (open to large and small breeds and their human companions too). Below is the link for the sign up. We look forward to seeing lots of members there.
Yours in service,
